LHH is partnering with a well-known public accounting firm in Fairfax, VA, to hire a Temporary Tax Administrative Assistant. This assignment will begin in January and run through May. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of administrative experience and be available to work onsite, Monday through Friday. The hourly pay rate is $21–$23, based on experience. Responsibilities

  • Review client tax documents for accuracy and completeness
  • Prepare and organize tax documents following established procedures
  • Scan and electronically file tax documents
  • Create electronic binders for organized document storage
  • Upload documents to the appropriate locations within internal systems

Requirements

  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Previous experience with 1040 tax documents is preferred
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to travel for one week of training

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or tax-related certification is a plus
  • Prior experience in a similar administrative role is preferred
  • Familiarity with tax documents, including 1099s and W-2s, is required
