About the Role

As our Piercing Lead, you’ll be the heartbeat of Mejuri’s Piercing Studio, elevating customer service, boosting profitability, and ensuring a safe, hygienic environment.

Customer Experience

  • Guide the complete piercing journey from greeting to aftercare education.
  • Maintain a calm, professional demeanor and embody Mejuri values in every interaction.
  • Promote the brand and build a local client base.
  • Share insights and opportunities with the Store Manager and Store Services.
  • Collaborate on studio flow and team training with the Store Manager.
  • Coordinate scheduling and online booking service with staff.
  • Explain aftercare and potential complications specific to materials and clients.
  • Detail service procedures and risks, identifying medical concerns before piercing.
  • Set examples on the sales floor, train staff on Mejuri’s Steps of Selling.
  • Drive promotion of services like engraving and other offerings.

Operations

  • Oversee all studio operations with the Store Services and Store Manager.
  • Support inventory and feedback to maintain optimal product quantities.
  • Maintain health and safety standards and studio cleanliness.
  • Ensure legal compliance—verification of IDs, waivers, and local laws.
  • Become a product expert on Labret sizing, materials, gemstones, and metals.
  • Pitch check‑up and downsizing processes for clients.
  • Suggest styling, stacking, and product recommendations to clients.
  • Increase studio occupancy through promotion and education.
  • Order necessary equipment such as needles, gloves, sterilizers, and supplies.
  • Maintain all regulatory paperwork and client records.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years needle‑piercing experience.
  • Experience with thread‑less jewelry.
  • Current First Aid and Blood‑borne Pathogens OSHA certificates.
  • Experience with an autoclave or statim.
  • Registrable by local law enforcement or meet local permit requirements.
  • Knowledge of local piercing law requirements.
  • Strong health and safety protocol understanding.
  • Service excellence in a consumer environment.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Comfortable in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Bonus: experience selling products at a fast‑growing company.

Pay Transparency

Base pay range: $27,000 – $33,000 per annum based on experience and qualifications.
