Job Summary
Floor Technician is responsible for floor maintenance, restoration, and the operation of industrial floor care equipment.
Essential Functions
- Maintain knowledge of hard‑surface floor maintenance principles and use proper procedures for stripping, refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing.
- Operate various types of industrial floor care equipment and utilize automated equipment for cleaning large floor areas.
- Follow proper procedures on carpet and upholstery, including shampooing, damp surface cleaning, extractions, spot cleaning, and vacuuming.
- Perform maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.
- Other duties as assigned by the manager.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a floor care technician or in a related role is preferred.
- Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques is required.
- Knowledge and ability to follow safety procedures.
- Must be able to frequently lift, carry, push, pull up to 50 lbs.
