Responsibilities Of The Accounting Manager
- Oversee / review the day‑to‑day accounting work of staff and monthly close
- Operational and financial reports for department managers and senior executives
- Financial statements
- Assist in preparing and compiling budgets and YE financial reports
- Analyze, standardize, and improve processes
- Assist the internal controls team
- Provide financial/business guidance for strategic decisions
- Assist IT group with maximizing the efficiencies of the systems for accounting and reporting purposes
- Liaison for internal and external auditors
Qualifications Of The Accounting Manager
- CPA preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 5+ years of accounting experience including areas of financial reporting and financial statement preparation.
- Good supervisory skills for directing and coordinating accounting clerical staff
- Ability to monitor and evaluate worker performance, establish work priorities and delegate tasks, and train staff in proper accounting procedures
