Overview Of The Accounting Supervisor Role
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger management, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements for accuracy and compliance.
- Support consolidations, financial reporting, and audit preparation.
- Assist with process improvements and internal control enhancements.
Qualifications For The Accounting Supervisor
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience (public accounting or corporate environment preferred).
- Prior supervisory or team lead experience a plus.
- SAP or similar ERP system experience required.
- CPA or MBA preferred.
