The Town of Wellesley is looking for a Temporary Highway Maintenance Worker for the Highway Division. The incumbent performs skilled operation of assigned vehicles and equipment; performs skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled laboring tasks relating to building and construction work on streets, sidewalks, catch basins, etc.; and is required to participate in snow removal, ice control, standby, emergency, and call-in duty. Ensures proper operation of all equipment and follows all required safety procedures.

Requirements include:

• a valid MA Class D license
• a High School diploma or equivalent
• a good employment record
• the possession of or ability to obtain a valid Hoisting Engineer’s License classes 1C and 2C within six months of hire
• the ability to read, understand and follow written and verbal instructions and use hand and power tools

Pay range is $21.24 - $28.53 per hour, DOQ.
