Responsibilities

As the SP+ Customer Service Representative, you will:

  • Ensure customers have a seamless parking experience and facilitate the expedient flow of traffic through the facility.
  • Assist customers in making payment through fully automated revenue control equipment.
  • Deliver an exceptional client and customer experience guided by the SP+ Promise.
  • Assist in the management of the day‑to‑day activities of the assigned location.
  • Monitor parkers in pay‑in lanes.
  • Make every customer interaction a moment that matters through friendly and professional conduct.
  • Assist customers who have forgotten where they parked their vehicle.
  • Perform other necessary functions as assigned.
  • Conduct garage and facility audits as required by management.
  • Count “bank” of revenue at beginning of shift to ensure starting total is correct.
  • Make change for customers before transactions.
  • Quote rates for parking services.
  • Give directions to city locations and assist customers in getting where they go quickly and easily.
  • Resolve customer complaints independently or with the aid of a supervisor.
  • Answer telephone in a prompt and courteous manner if required.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the facility and pick up trash in the surrounding area.
  • Present themselves professionally (neat appearance and in uniform) at all times while at work.
  • Arrive to work on time for scheduled shifts.
  • Complete any other duties that may be assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

What you need

  • High School Diploma or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Experience with automated parking access control hardware and software or a high aptitude for technology.
  • Availability for 2nd shift, 3rd shift, and/or weekends if required.
  • Valid state‑issued driver’s license if the role involves driving a company vehicle.
  • Mathematical skills: ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals; ability to make change.
  • Language skills: ability to read, write and interpret English; skill in presenting information to customers, clients, supervisors, and other employees.
  • Reasoning ability: apply common sense, handle problems involving a few concrete variables.
  • Adaptability: adapt to changes and unexpected events.
  • Judgment: exhibit sound and accurate judgment.
  • Additional skills: use of standard/military time clock, calculator (optional), or credit card machine; maintain a pleasant demeanor on the telephone and with the public; respond effectively to customer problems or complaints; proactive with strong personal drive and proven customer service skills; willingness to work a flexible schedule.

Work Environment The work environment is moderate to loud, involves exposure to vehicle emissions, extreme hot/cold temperatures, precipitation and wind, as well as bright sunlight and nighttime conditions. Employees frequently stand, walk, and use hands. Specific vision ability requires close vision.

Salary Range

$15.41 – $19.73 per hour
