Locums - Lansing, Michigan, NP/PA Emergency Medicine Opening
Clinical Role:

• Coverage Dates & Times:
• January 28, :00am - 11:00pm
• February 2, :00am - 11:00pm
• February 10, 2026 8:00am - 8:00pm
• February 27, 2026 8:00am - 8:00pm
• APP will work independently in the Fast Track "VUE," a dedicated 10-bed area within the Emergency Department
• Attending physicians available 24/7 for consultation, guidance, and case review
• Average patient volume: 110 patients per day across all providers
Practice Environment:
• Emergency Department Size: 50 beds
• Trauma Level: III
• Annual ED Volume: Approximately 40,150 visits
• Fast Track: Dedicated Fast Track area within ED
Staffing Model:
• One APP shift daily from 11:00am - 11:00pm
• Staggered physician coverage with peak staffing from 2:00pm - 6:00pm
• Single physician coverage overnight from 2:00am - 8:00am
• Emergency Medicine residents provide coverage averaging two shifts per day; resident supervision handled by physicians
Clinical Operations:
• 60% of hospital admissions originate from the ED
• 20% of ED patients admitted per day
• Admission orders initiated by house officer; IM and surgical residents typically enter orders
• Deliveries are sent directly to Labor & Delivery

EMR: Cerner
Candidate Requirements:
• Board Certified NP or PA - Required
• Local provider only - Required
• Active Michigan license - Required (IMLC not accepted)
• DEA - Verbal confirmation required
• ACLS and ATLS - Required
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience
