Job Responsibilities:- Work independently within the fast track 'VUE' area of the emergency department.
- Manage a patient load of approximately 110 patients per day, divided among providers.
- Provide comprehensive evaluations and treatment for patients in collaboration with attending physicians.
- Utilize Cerner EMR for patient documentation and orders.
- Participate in a staggered shift schedule to ensure maximum coverage during peak hours (2p-6p).
- Coordinate with emergency medicine residents and assist with their training as necessary.
- Board Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (REQUIRED).
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in an emergency department.
- Clear and clean background for quick credentialing.
- Local candidates preferred; no exceptions.
- Strong ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
- Current Michigan state license (REQUIRED).
- ACLS and ATLS certification (REQUIRED).
- Controlled Substance Registration (DEA) - verbal confirmation at name clear (REQUIRED).
- Immunization records, including Hep B, MMR, Varicella, Flu, TB test, and TDAP (within the last 10 years).
