Overview AdventHealth for Children and AdventHealth Medical Group are looking for a dynamic and energetic Pediatric Hospitalist to join our team at AdventHealth Tampa in association with AdventHealth for Children/Walt Disney Pavilion in Orlando.

Responsibilities

Perform pediatric admissions in a 15‑bed Pediatric Medical Surgical Unit.

Support ED pediatric consults and participate in daily family‑centered rounding.

Provide coverage in the Level 1 Newborn Nursery with an Advanced Practice Provider.

Manage a flexible schedule of approximately 14‑12‑hour shifts per month, including days, nights, and weekends.

Collaborate with a 28‑bed Level 3 NICU and a 5‑bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, both with intensivist coverage.

Work with on‑site Pediatric Surgery and Pediatric Medical Specialty teams.

Qualifications

Board Certification or eligibility through the American Board of Pediatrics.

Team‑player mentality with a patient‑centered focus.

Excellent communication skills.

Practice and Hospital Description AdventHealth Tampa is a 536‑bed tertiary, not‑for‑profit hospital located in the uptown district of Tampa, Florida, serving the surrounding counties. The hospital specializes in cardiovascular medicine, digestive health, neuroscience, orthopedics, women’s services, oncology, endocrinology, bariatrics, wound healing, sleep medicine, and minimally invasive & robotic surgery. AdventHealth Tampa partners with AdventHealth for Children, providing a seamless connection to quaternary services through a network of 30 children’s hospitals statewide.

AdventHealth for Children Walt Disney Pavilion Patients have access to a full‑service, tertiary children’s hospital with over 200 dedicated pediatric beds, more than 30 pediatric ICU beds, a dedicated pediatric CICU, a 102‑bed NICU, a 17‑bed pediatric emergency department, and statewide pediatric network and transport system. The program offers leading regional programs in epilepsy, BMT and solid organ transplants, and pediatric liver transplant services.
