POSITION TITLE:
Inbound Logistics Manager
POSITION PURPOSE Oversee and optimize end-to end international logistics operations to ensure timely, cost-effective movement of goods while driving process improvements, data accuracy, and cross functional alignment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS This role involves managing the full inbound import lifecycle. This includes handling bookings with freight forwarders at various origins around the globe, coordinating with carriers, and managing exceptions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of international freight terminology. They will need to identify, analyze, and resolve operational issues using structured problem-solving and root cause analysis techniques. Proactively communicating shipment risks, delays, and mitigation plans to both internal and external partners is also essential. In addition to import operations, they will be responsible for developing and maintaining advanced Excel-based data models to support logistics visibility, forecasting, and performance measurement. The ideal candidate will build dashboards, scorecards, and exception reports using tools like Microsoft Excel, Power Pivot, and BI tools. Automating manual reporting processes to enhance accuracy, speed, and scalability is a key part of this role. Collaboration with IT and data teams may be necessary to ensure reporting and data integrity when required. Effective communication and collaboration across various functions are crucial. This includes clear and effective communication with external third-party logistics providers, as well as internal teams such as purchasing, sourcing, buying, distribution center operations, finance, and leadership. Additionally, they will coach and mentor logistics coordinators and analysts, fostering strong problem-solving skills, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.

Salary Maximum $130,000.00
Base salary will be determined on various factors, including but not limited to, market data, internal equity, relevant background, and experience for the specified role. GUESS?
