Shipping & Receiving Coordinator

Responsible for verifying and maintaining records of incoming and outgoing shipments, preparing items for shipment, and providing support in the production sign shop and other departments as needed.
Essential Functions
Verify incoming and outgoing shipments by comparing identifying information and quantities against bills of lading, invoices, and orders.
Determine appropriate shipping methods based on established procedures, routes, and rates.
Assemble, package, and label shipments using protective materials and computer-based shipping portals.
Inspect incoming shipments, document damages or shortages, and coordinate with carriers to resolve issues.
Route incoming packages to appropriate recipients.
Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Perform basic fabrication tasks, including pulling/trimming aluminum and cutting wood for sign construction.
Required Education, Experience, And Skills
Valid driver’s license.
Minimum two (2) years of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Basic computer proficiency for data entry and vendor shipping portals.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive movement (standing, walking, bending).
Experience operating forklifts, dollies, hand trucks, and basic power tools (e.g., saws).
Proficient in reading, writing, and understanding English.
