We are seeking an experienced Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner for a 70-day locum tenens assignment in North Carolina, starting Dec 16, 2025. This full-time position features 12-hour weekday shifts and shorter weekend shifts, with a rotating 36/40 schedule and every other weekend required. Providers must be able to work autonomously in a fast-paced setting.
Job Details Location: North Carolina Start Date: Dec 16, 2025 LOA: 70 days Provider Type Needed: Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner Schedule: Full time, rotating 36/40 schedule; every other weekend required. Weekdays 8am-8pm, weekends 8am-4pm. Must be able to float within relatively close clinics.
Responsibilities and Duties Independently assess and manage acute care patients in an urgent care setting See 40+ patients per shift while maintaining high standards of patient care Collaborate with medical assistants and front desk staff as part of a streamlined business model Work autonomously, making clinical decisions and managing patient flow efficiently Adapt to a rotating schedule and float between clinic locations as needed Maintain compliance with all relevant clinical protocols and best practices
Additional Information Must be licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in North Carolina Basic Life Support (BLS) and DEA certification required DOT certification is a plus Must be able to work autonomously; candidates with less than one year of experience or new graduates will not be considered
