We are seeking an experienced Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in North Carolina. This opportunity begins on Dec 16, 2025, offers full-time rotating 12-hour weekday shifts and shorter weekend shifts, and requires the ability to work independently across multiple nearby clinics.
Job Details Location: North Carolina Start Date: Dec 16, 2025 LOA: 60 days Provider Type Needed: Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner Schedule: Full time, 36/40 rotation schedule; weekdays 8am-8pm, weekends 8am-4pm; every other weekend required; must be able to float within relatively close clinics
Responsibilities and Duties Deliver autonomous urgent care services to a high patient volume (40+ patients per shift) Work collaboratively with a provider, medical assistant, and front desk team structure Perform patient assessments, diagnostics, and urgent interventions Manage acute illnesses and minor injuries for a diverse patient population Maintain accurate and timely documentation Adhere to all clinical protocols and standards Ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements
Additional Information Must be licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in North Carolina Must possess Basic Life Support (BLS) and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certifications Ability to work autonomously is required; no new graduates will be considered DOT certification is a plus
