We are partnering with a well-established manufacturing company looking for a Plant Controller to join their team! Reporting directly to the CFO, the role involves managing operational budgets, analyzing internal financial data for day‑to‑day activities, resolving operational challenges, and providing strategic insights.
This is a great opportunity to lead a team and contribute to a growing organization. The ideal candidate is expected to work on‑site in Northwest, Georgia.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & FUNCTIONS:
Overseeing financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for multiple locations.
Collaborating with plant management to analyze and optimize manufacturing processes, identify cost‑reduction opportunities, and enhance profitability.
Conducting comprehensive analysis of production costs, material consumption, and inventory levels.
Assessing risks associated with plant operations and implementing appropriate mitigation strategies.
Ensuring compliance with applicable state and federal regulations as well as adherence to corporate policies.
Providing financial analysis and evaluation to support decision‑making.
Facilitating and supporting internal and external audits.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent.
Proven work experience as a Controller or similar management role in a manufacturing environment.
Exceptional knowledge of cost accounting, cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and finance software.
Analytical ability to develop and implement process improvements.
