Description
TEKsystems has a client looking to bring on cable technicians who need to be available to help pull cable and terminate keystone-style jacks at a large construction site in Austin, Texas.
Responsibilities
Pulling, terminating and testing cat5/6 and fiber optic cables
Installing other cabling infrastructure (racks, cabinets, etc.)
Install network racks and cabinets in server rooms
Review all job documentation for assigned projects:
Floor plans - equipment locations
Reflected ceiling plans
Conduit call‑outs
Wall elevations
Signal flow diagrams
Cable pull schedules
Physical Demands This job will require the employee to regularly stand, climb, walk, sit, push, pull, squat, crawl, and stoop. The employee will regularly use hands to finger, handle, feel objects, and type on a keyboard; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The use of power tools will be required to effectively perform this position. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
