Position Overview The Audit Manager will lead and oversee audit engagements for municipal and governmental entities, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and delivering exceptional client service. This role is ideal for an experienced auditor with a passion for public sector work and leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and supervise audit engagements for municipalities, government agencies, and related entities.
Ensure audits comply with GAAS, GASB, and other applicable standards.
Review financial statements and reports for accuracy and compliance.
Develop and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor.
Mentor and coach audit staff and seniors, fostering professional growth.
Stay current on industry regulations and emerging trends in governmental accounting.
Qualifications
CPA license required.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; Master’s preferred.
5+ years of public accounting experience , with significant exposure to municipal or government audits.
Strong knowledge of GASB standards and governmental accounting principles.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines.
