Tavern General Manager

Summary Responsible for the overall operation and direct supervision of a bar venue, including service standards, staffing and efficiency. Ensure daily operations and experiences meet guest expectations and respond to any escalated concerns in consultation with the Regional Operations Manager.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities
Train, develop, measure performance, discipline, and schedule tavern staff.
Lead tactical execution of strategic initiatives under division leadership direction.
Establish service standards within the tavern and ensure achievement.
Monitor and control labor, maintaining adequate coverage based on business demands.
Supervise staff for cleanliness, proper table setting, timely service, and procedure compliance.
Inspect tavern appearance, orderliness, cleanliness (including outside areas) and stock levels.
Notify management of any unusual incidents involving guests or team members.
Assign stations and side work to all staff.
Maintain knowledge of operational procedures, front and back of house.
Present a professional manner at all times.
Prepare and serve all drinks to proper specifications.
Notify Regional Operations Manager of guest complaints.
Follow proper cash control procedures and ensure staff training.
Know and enforce liquor laws, age verification, company and health department regulations.
Complete set‑up, cleaning, and stocking of bar area, including CO2 tanks, beer kegs, and cleaning supplies.
Make change for gaming customers per Company policy.
Provide prompt, courteous service and maintain a friendly atmosphere.
Adhere to sanitation requirements and a safe working environment.
Maintain overall product knowledge of all menu items.
Enforce Company uniform and dress code policy.
Ensure staff follows all Company directives and policies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum 2–5 years of restaurant/gaming and/or supervisory experience.
Excellent communication and organization skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Effective team‑oriented and interpersonal skills.
Strong presentation skills for management and public audiences.
Common sense reasoning for varied situations.
Intermediate computer skills.
Minimum age 21 with high school diploma or equivalent.
Proficient in occupational‑based English (written and verbal).
Obtain and maintain all required work cards.
Verify right to work in the United States.
