This Automation Engineering Manager works on managing the design and development of automated manufacturing equipment and processes from concept to production. It involves leading engineering initiatives, mentoring team members, and driving continuous improvement in performance, safety, and cost. The Automation Engineering Manager will oversee the development of new manufacturing equipment, tools, and processes, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and company capabilities. This position involves managing experiments, prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting automated systems while leading project planning and execution.

Key Responsibilities

Manage design and qualification of new manufacturing equipment.

Oversee assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of automated systems.

Mentor junior engineers and technicians while driving continuous improvement.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred).

3+ years in product/process development and 2+ years in leadership roles.

Experience with machine design, plastics fabrication, and SolidWorks.
