Summary The primary purpose of this position is to serve the installation as the Community Program and Unit Cohesion Lead Coordinator to plan, manage and direct a wide range of community programs, services and activities to improve unit cohesion, resiliency, lethality, and readiness for Total Force Airmen.

Responsibilities

Plan, develop, market and execute diversified, innovative, needs‑based social, cultural, installation‑wide special events, community programs and unit cohesion activities.

Coordinate with other agencies to implement programs, community activities, special events and networked plans to maximize resources.

Assist with development of marketing strategies, event publicity and promotions and customer engagement strategies.

Write professional proposals for cooperative agreements with on‑ and off‑installation partners.

Create a concierge experience to deliver beneficial and quality programs and services.

Coordinate with owning units to identify available spaces for programs, organized activities and events to match customer needs.

Plan, establish, conduct and maintain an initial training program for Community Program and Unit Cohesion tasks; conduct training using the 3F1 Air Force Job Qualification Standard.

Ensure compliance with applicable policies and standards.

Qualifications Conditions of employment include U.S. citizenship required, selective service registration for males, PCS provisions, overtime, and possible air travel.

Specialized experience: Minimum one year at GS‑09 level (or equivalent), or experience in military recreation, morale, welfare, and recreation business operations, or community event planning.

OR education: Ph.D., LL.M., or 3 full years of graduate education. Transcripts required.

OR combination: Education plus experience totaling 100%. Transcripts required.

Federal time‑in‑grade requirement: One year at GS‑09 for GS‑11.
