Your impact
Maximize uptime by rapidly diagnosing and correcting production equipment failures.
Execute line setups, changeovers, troubleshooting, repair, and reassembly of packaging and filling equipment.
Perform mechanical fabrication, assembly, welding, burning, and cutting.
Handle electrical tasks: motor, fuse, and cable replacement; conduit installation; wire pulling.
Carry out routine preventive maintenance and document activities.
Support installation and commissioning of new manufacturing equipment.
Contribute to machine/process design and continuous improvement for new and existing lines.
Develop and refine SOPs; optimize line layouts and plant design.
Maintain PM logbooks; ensure tool crib inventory; uphold compliance with 21 CFR 210/211 for OTC manufacturing.
Assist with building and facilities systems, including boilers, air handling units, and HVAC.
Capture setup parameters and create setup sheets to enable repeatable results across campaigns.
Use OEM manuals to ensure proper operation and maintenance.
Raise purchase requisitions for parts, stores, and inventory as needed.
Provide maintenance support and be available for off‑hour issues (e.g., alarms, security).
Ensure OSHA compliance and proper recordkeeping for facility and equipment.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment; familiarity with GMPs.
Willingness to work outside typical hours when required. First shift: 6 AM–2 PM. Second shift: 2 PM–10 PM. Preferred availability for a swing schedule (approximately 9 AM–6 PM).
Strong troubleshooting in mechanical, electrical, pumps, and production machinery.
Agile, team‑oriented, and dependable; aligned with a collaborative culture.
Desired equipment knowledge
Bottle and jar fillers (Packaging Dynamics, Elgin piston, piston/rotary fillers)
Tube lines (COESIA Kalix tube fillers, ultrasonic sealers)
H/F/F/S equipment (Bartelts – liquid and powder)
V/F/F/S systems (Prodo Paks)
Pre‑made pouch systems (PSG Lee)
Pumps: Axiflow, diaphragm, positive displacement
Cartoners and end‑of‑line equipment (Videojet labelers, case tapers, case erectors)
Blending tanks
Technical proficiency
PLC troubleshooting (Allen‑Bradley, Siemens); industrial controls
Electrical schematics; installation, troubleshooting, and repair
120/208/240/480‑volt systems
Preventive maintenance and inspections; machine safety inspections
Equipment troubleshooting and root cause analysis
Machine building/assembly; manual machining; gear mechanisms
Mechanical design and engineering basics
Lean manufacturing, Kaizen, and continuous improvement
Process development; machine setups for production runs
