Valid registration as a Civil Engineer issued by the California State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers. Valid driver’s license required when operating a state owned or leased vehicle. Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) required. The SOQ must be typed, no more than 2 pages, single-spaced, using 12-point Arial font. SOQ questions:
Describe your experience developing, modifying, interpreting, or reviewing structure-related contract specifications. Explain your experience applying structural construction practices, bridge engineering principles, or design requirements in a professional engineering setting. Provide examples demonstrating your experience leading or coordinating the work of engineers or technical staff. Describe situations in which you prepared a technical document or communicated complex technical information to internal or external partners.
Foreign transcripts and degrees must be evaluated by a recognized equivalency evaluation agency. Application Instructions
