Overview
The PC Technician will be responsible for providing advanced technical support and maintenance for desktops, laptops, and related hardware/software systems. This role requires strong expertise in imaging and deployment, workstation configuration, and experience within healthcare IT environments. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of troubleshooting, configuring, and maintaining Windows-based systems and associated technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Perform imaging and re‑imaging of Windows-based laptops and desktops using tools such as SCCM, MDT, or similar deployment platforms.
Configure and deploy workstations, ensuring compliance with organizational standards and security policies.
Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues for desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices.
Provide support for operating systems including Windows 10 and Windows 11, as well as Office 365 applications.
Manage Active Directory tasks such as user account creation, group policy updates, and permissions management.
Support printers, handheld scanners, and other peripheral devices.
Assist with asset management, including inventory tracking and lifecycle management of IT equipment.
Provide mobile device support and management using MDM solutions such as TinyMDM and IBM MaaS360.
Deliver deskside and remote support for end-users, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
Collaborate with healthcare providers and staff to ensure IT systems meet compliance and operational requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications
5-8 years of experience in PC imaging and deployment using SCCM, MDT, or similar tools.
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for workstation configuration and maintenance.
Hands‑on experience in healthcare IT environments, with knowledge of compliance and security standards.
Proficiency in Windows 10/11, Office 365, Active Directory, and Citrix environments.
Familiarity with mobile device management platforms (TinyMDM, IBM MaaS360).
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
Job Type & Location This is a contract position based out of Hartford, CT.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $33.00 – $33.00/hr.
