Position Overview A Postdoctoral Fellow position is available in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Tulane University School of Medicine to study the molecular mechanisms and pathogenesis of liver cancer (hepatocellular carcinoma and/or cholangiocarcinoma). The research projects focus on the effects and mechanisms of several signaling molecules and cascades, including epigenetics, epitranscriptomics, non‑coding RNAs, RNA splicing factors, and other key signaling pathways that regulate liver cancer cell growth. Studies involve complementary cellular/molecular analyses and mouse models of hepatobiliary carcinogenesis.

Key Responsibilities

Study molecular mechanisms and pathogenesis of liver cancer.

Investigate signaling molecules/cascades such as epigenetics, epitranscriptomics, non‑coding RNAs, RNA splicing factors, and other key pathways influencing liver cancer cell growth.

Perform complementary cellular/molecular analyses and develop mouse models of hepatobiliary carcinogenesis.
