Position Summary
Join a passionate team of clinicians who are committed to a family-focused and strengths-based approach to addiction, recovery, and mental health. The Program Therapist will provide outpatient treatment services, including individual and group psychotherapy, within our Adult Program and/or Adolescent Program, using evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
Reporting Relationship
Reports to: Chief Clinical Officer
Employment Details
Full-Time Exempt
Location: Houston, TX
Travel: None
Education & Experience
Master’s degree in counseling, social work, or marriage & family therapy required
Current licensure: LMSW, LCSW, LPC Associate, or LPC; LCSW-S or LPC-S preferred
Minimum of 2 years of experience in substance use and/or mental health with adult or adolescent populations
Strong knowledge of psychosocial issues, family systems, interpersonal dynamics, community resources, and the treatment planning process
Experience conducting diagnostic assessments, facilitating psychoeducational and therapeutic process groups, and providing individual and group therapy
Experience with electronic health records (EHR) preferred
Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills
Excellent public speaking skills
Strong communication skills
Flexibility and adaptability
Ability to plan dynamic educational and therapeutic experiences based on scientific principles
Ability to work within multiple systems simultaneously while maintaining boundaries and accountability
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
