Registered Nurse - Emergency Department - Full‑time - Days, 7am‑7:30pm, Monday thru Friday & every 3rd weekend
Schedule: full‑time days 7am‑7:30pm Monday thru Friday & every 3rd weekend

General Summary
Use independent professional judgment, analytical skills, and the nursing process to provide a full range of delegated, interdependent, and independent nursing services to patients.
Demonstrate clinical competence, compassion, customer‑service orientation, focus on process and outcomes, and cost‑consciousness when assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care.
Coordinate development of a multidisciplinary plan of care in accordance with Nursing Problem Care Sets and clinical practice guidelines.
Provide patient care that respects the patient’s rights, dignity, culture, and preferences, including education and collaboration with family.
Collaborate with patient/family, hospital staff, and community agencies to develop discharge plans.
Complete assessment for risk factors, medication reconciliation, and initiate appropriate interventions (e.g., skin‑care bundles, fall prevention, VTE prophylaxis).
Document nursing interventions and progress toward outcomes (NIC/NOC) on every shift.
Administer therapeutic regimens, establish and maintain peripheral IV therapy, and obtain body‑fluid specimens.
Prepare patients for surgery and assist with procedures according to established guidelines.
Monitor patient physiologic parameters and respond to changes in respiratory, neurologic, cardiac, and urinary status.
Perform emergency equipment checks, provide CPR and initial interventions in life‑threatening emergencies.
Communicate with other professionals, physician staff, and other departments to ensure proper patient flow.
Support the unit through teaching, mentoring, and quality‑improvement activities.
Education / Experience Requirements
Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing within 60 days of hire.
Certified BLS Provider (or Instructor) credentialed within 90 days of hire.
Graduate of an approved professional (RN) nursing program.
Minimum one year of nursing experience (ER preferred).
