Salem Health Medical Group is seeking a strategic, hands‑on leader to manage operations for our multi‑specialty surgery clinics, including general surgery, vascular surgery, and bariatrics. This role is pivotal in ensuring seamless patient care, operational excellence, and strong provider partnerships across multiple locations: Salem Hospital (890 Oak Street SE) and Skyline Clinic (5050 Skyline Village Loop S) in Salem, Oregon, and our Miller Clinic (641 SE Miller Avenue) in Dallas, Oregon. As Surgery Clinic Manager
You will oversee day‑to‑day clinic operations, drive performance improvement initiatives, and lead a team of approximately 30 staff supporting 30 providers. You will work closely with two medical directors in a dyad leadership model, collaborating on strategy, throughput, and payer mix optimization. What you’ll do
Lead Clinic Operations Across Multiple Sites:
Oversee scheduling, staffing, patient access, clinic flow, and compliance for general surgery, vascular surgery, and bariatrics clinics. Drive Strategic Initiatives:
Partner with medical directors on key priorities such as procedural throughput and payer mix; ensure execution at the clinic level and report progress. Ensure Quality and Patient Safety:
Monitor performance metrics, resolve issues impacting patient care, and implement process improvements to enhance outcomes. Manage and Develop Staff:
Provide leadership for approximately 30 team members through a business manager and supervisors; oversee HR functions including hiring, onboarding, training, and performance evaluations. Foster Provider Relationships:
Serve as the operational go‑to for provider needs, including CME and PTO tracking, shift reconciliation, and addressing concerns. Champion Lean Culture:
Lead Lean initiatives and continuous improvement efforts to optimize workflows and elevate patient and staff experiences. Collaborate Across Departments:
Work closely with other clinic managers, SHMG leadership, CVNIS group, and the OR to align operations and strategy. Maintain Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure adherence to accreditation standards and regulatory requirements through documented policies and procedures. What we’re looking for
Strong operational management skills with the ability to oversee multi‑site clinics. Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills for working with providers, staff, and leadership. Ability to analyze data, manage budgets, and implement process improvements. Proficiency in HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, and performance management. Collaborative and adaptable, with a focus on team engagement and accountability. Strategic thinker who can translate organizational priorities into actionable plans. Comfortable navigating complex environments and driving results through influence and partnership. Required qualifications
