Telemetry RN Job Details
Location: Bowling Green, KY 42104 (Kentucky nursing jobs)
Unit: Telemetry (36-bed unit)
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12‑hour night shifts)
Schedule: Every other weekend required
Duration: 13‑week travel contract (option to extend)
Hours per week: 36
Estimated Weekly Pay: $1530‑$1640
Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
Registered Nurse Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky or compact state
Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry nursing experience
BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
Proficient in chest tube management and dysrhythmia recognition
Experience with remote telemetry monitors and Alaris infusion pumps
Familiarity with Meditech electronic health record system preferred
Ability to float to Ortho/Med‑Surg units as needed
Professional scrubs required (any color except camo)
Telemetry RN Responsibilities
Deliver high‑quality nursing care to telemetry patients in a 36‑bed unit
Monitor, interpret, and document cardiac rhythms; respond promptly to changes in patient condition
Assist with bedside procedures including chest tube insertions, paracentesis, and thoracentesis
Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Meditech EHR
Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including PCTs and unit clerks
Support hospital goals by striving for a 75% patient satisfaction rate
Float to other nursing units as required by facility policy
Adhere to hospital policies, including telemetry monitoring and stroke care protocols
