ICU Travel Nurse Job Details
Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse (RN) Travel Assignment
Location: San Pedro, CA 90732 (Greater Los Angeles area)
Healthcare Setting: Acute Care Hospital, Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Employment Type: Travel Nursing
Assignment Dates: November 10, 2025
February 9, 2026
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights, 3×12-hour shifts per week (19:00 – 07:00)
Hours per Week: 36
Guaranteed Hours: Facility may call off once per two-week pay period
Estimated Weekly Pay: $1990 – $2130
Free Parking
Scrub Color: Any color
Charting System: Meditech
Floating: May float to affiliate hospital in Torrance or Telemetry units as needed
ICU Nurse Qualifications
Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license
Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience (Surgical ICU, Trauma ICU, Shock ICU, or Neuro ICU preferred)
Previous Charge RN experience required
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
Proficient with Meditech electronic charting
Ability to float between ICU, Telemetry, and affiliate facilities as needed
2 supervisory references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
Willingness to work 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day)

ICU Registered Nurse Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to critically ill patients in a 12-bed ICU
Maintain patient ratios of 1:2 for optimal care
Serve as Charge RN, coordinating and overseeing nursing care during assigned shifts
Administer and titrate vasoactive and cardiac drips
Manage arterial lines, central/PICC lines, and ventilators
Assist with chest tube procedures, BiPAP/CPAP management, and blood product administration
Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and cardiac dysrhythmias
Implement infection prevention protocols and isolation precautions
Care for patients with multisystem organ dysfunction, severe sepsis, septic shock, GI bleed, DKA, and stroke
Participate in interdisciplinary rounds with physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and other healthcare professionals
Float to Telemetry and affiliate units as needed
