Clinical Supervisor (Women's Units)
Location: Carbondale, IL 62901
Position type: Full Time
Work schedule: Mon - Fri; 1 evening shift possible
Responsibilities
Provide clinical supervision to staff responsible for delivering services to individuals with mental health and/or substance use disorders.
Oversee client services and ensure compliance with established program standards and service delivery objectives.
Audit client records.
Assist in interviewing, selecting, evaluating, scheduling and disciplining assigned staff.
Orient and train staff.
Serve as a resource to assigned staff in identifying and resolving complex case problems.
Assume client caseload in response to workload or staffing shortages.
Other duties as assigned.
Supervise assigned staff in hospital settings pursuant to a federal grant.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
in psychology, social work, counseling, or a closely related field required.
Current certification as a substance abuse counselor (CADC)
or higher licensure (LPC, LSW) in state of hire required.
3-5 years of clinical experience
in the treatment of substance abuse with at least 1 year of supervisory experience required.
Related work experience with program specific population (adolescent/adult) and residential treatment setting required.
Physical Requirements
Ability to walk and move about the facilities for up to two hours at a time, to monitor and interact with clients.
Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
Ability to record, proofread and check documents and files for accuracy, to prepare and analyze data and figures, transcribe, read.
Ability to use a keyboard and video display terminal to receive, retrieve, and/or audit information and data.
Ability to respond to telephones, and to hear and detect alarms and unusual noises.
Compensation Range begins at $70,000 - $97,498 per year. Gateway Foundation conducts annual reviews including merit increases.
