Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1990 – $2130
Location: Peoria, IL 61637 (Illinois healthcare jobs)
Unit: Neuro Med-Surg Acute, 54-bed unit
Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
Start Date: November 10, 2025
End Date: March 16, 2026
Duration: 18 weeks
Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM
7:00 AM), 3 shifts/week
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (Saturday & Sunday)
Holiday Requirement: Every other holiday
Charting System: EPIC
Registered Nurse Qualifications
Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license or proof of application in process
BLS (AHA) and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of recent neuro nursing experience (neuro unit)
Level 1 trauma center experience required
Previous travel nursing experience (no first‑time travelers)
Proficient with heparin titration and PTT‑based drips
Ability to float to general medical‑surgical units as needed
Neuro RN Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients with neurological diagnoses (stroke, spine surgery, seizures, brain tumors, head injuries)
Monitor and titrate heparin drips and other neuro medications
Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including charge nurses, house supervisors, and patient care techs
Participate in scheduled weekend and holiday rotations
Float to other hospital units as required, within competency
Document patient care accurately in the EPIC electronic health record system
Comply with hospital policies, including dress code and drug‑free campus requirements
