Your Impact As Safety Manager, you will lead project-dedicated safety execution for large or complex projects, ensuring compliance with safety programs and regulations. Your leadership will drive effective safety performance and support growth through proactive risk management and collaboration.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Provide leadership and oversight to ensure all safety responsibilities are carried out effectively.

Implement and enforce company safety policies and programs in compliance with regulations.

Serve as the primary on-site safety leader and client-facing representative.

Coordinate and direct daily activities of safety staff supporting the project.

Support project planning activities including preconstruction meetings and high-risk work planning.

Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific safety plans and procedures.

Lead incident and injury response including investigations and corrective actions.

Coordinate and support regulatory inspections, audits, and site visits.

Partner with project leadership to identify and mitigate safety risks.

Support subcontractor onboarding and compliance with safety requirements.

Deliver project-specific safety training and engagement activities.

Maintain accurate documentation and reporting through approved systems.

Provide consistent field presence and engage with craft professionals and leadership.

Mentor and develop assigned safety staff.

Communicate safety performance and trends to leadership.

Assist with quality, risk management, or corporate safety initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications

5–7 years of construction-related experience.

5–7 years of safety-specific experience within construction or industrial environments.

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in safety management or related field (Preferred).

Extensive working knowledge of OSHA construction standards.

CHST certification from BCSP (Required; may be obtained within one year of hire).

CSP or ASP certification from BCSP (Preferred).

Quality Control / Quality Assurance experience (Preferred).

Demonstrated leadership capability within field safety operations.

Experience mentoring or supervising safety staff (Preferred).

Strong organizational skills with proficiency in safety documentation and reporting systems.

Effective communicator with ability to professionally escalate safety concerns.

Strong client-facing communication and relationship-building skills.

Proficiency with mobile applications, computers, and standard office software.

Valid driver’s license with ability to meet company driving requirements.

Physical Demands and Work Environment Employees must be able to hear, speak, and communicate effectively. Work occurs in data center environments with potential exposure to electrical hazards, noise, and varying temperatures. Flexible hours, including nights and weekends, may be required.

Physical requirements include bending, stooping, squatting, crawling, climbing, kneeling, balancing, pushing, pulling, and reaching overhead. Must lift at least 50 lbs, raise arms above shoulder level, and perform overhead work for extended periods. The ability to climb and carry ladders (up to 12 ft), navigate stairways, and work at heights up to 90 ft using ladders, scaffolds, or lifts is essential.

Employees must access restricted areas (e.g., switchgear rooms, vaults, tunnels, crawl spaces) and wear full PPE. Good vision and hearing (normal or corrected) and accurate color identification are required. Some projects may lack food facilities, so bringing meals and snacks is necessary.
