Responsibilities
Creating work packages for vendors, coordinating construction schedules, communicating with vendors and inspectors, resolving construction issues in the field, and ensuring projects are built on schedule and within budget
This position will work with all team members to proactively anticipate and solve problems that may arise during any phase of the build process
Common activities will include data collection, analysis, and reporting for assigned projects
Each network construction team is expected to maintain open communication across all areas of the business and work as a unit with consistency while building; cognizant of fostering the vision and values
This position is accountable for delivering key KPIs for their area of responsibility including but not limited to % On-Time Install, fiber complete for small cell, small cell LCD, installed enterprise revenue, and vendor and vehicle safety
Supports Network Construction team with assigned tasks, projects and could include, but is not limited to, the following : Correspondence, administrative tasks (PO's & Invoicing), tracking project deliverables, dates and monitoring deadlines, managing vendors, and providing regular and timely reports highlighting variances as they arise
Prepares and submits purchase orders and processes contractor invoices for fiber and small cell
Assists with project financials and milestone management, such as forecasting, issuing and receiving on vendor POs, tracking and resolving past due invoices
Provide additional administrative support as required
Communicates issues to management prior to reaching critical status
Develops progress reports, tracks progress and identifies / resolves obstacles
Assists with ad hoc reporting requests
Communicate with vendors concerning construction timelines, milestones, safety, and billing
Understanding service delivery and close out packages
Updating company tools and attending company cross functional team meetings
Education / Certifications
High School degree
A valid driver's license required
OSHA 10 or preferred
Experience / Minimum Requirements
Minimum three (3) years of telecommunications / wireless construction experience
General knowledge of Outside Plant Construction techniques (aerial & underground) for SCS.
General knowledge of Small Cell Construction techniques.
Familiarity with test equipment and techniques for performing OTDR, PIM, and SWEEP
General knowledge of NESC, NEC and OSHA standards
Other Skills / Abilities
Knowledge of budget development and execution
Knowledge of construction management process
Ability to read and understand construction drawings
Ability to direct and diagnose workflow problems, critical paths and institute remedies in a timely manner
Customer service orientation with a strong problem‑solving approach and strong interpersonal skills
Strong computer skills - MS office, SmartSheets, and Excel
Working Conditions
Will be required to travel to project sites with exposure to heavy equipment and environmental conditions 40% of the time
Works in a normal office setting with no exposure to adverse environmental conditions 60% of the time
