Applications are invited for a part‑time adjunct faculty position in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the University of Minnesota Duluth. This is a non‑tenure‑track appointment for the spring semester of 2026 (January 1 – May 17 2026). The primary role is to develop and teach course EE 1315 Digital Logic, a 4‑credit lecture course offered M/W/F 2:00 – 2:50 PM with two lab sections held on Thursday 9:00 – 11:50 AM and Thursday 1:00 – 3:50 PM.
Job Duties / Responsibilities
Develop and teach a course in Digital Logic
Demonstrate high command of the subject matter
Have a well‑organized course plan and deliver the course clearly to students
Help students fulfill their academic needs
Assess and grade student learning and hold office hours \ Required Qualifications Required Qualifications:
M.S. (instructor) or Ph.D. (assistant professor)
Experience either in coursework or a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering
Effective written and oral communication skills
Preferred Qualifications Preferred Qualifications:
Two or more years of relevant college‑level teaching experience
Two or more years of professional experience in a relevant fieldExpertise in using technology for teaching
Demonstrated experience with assessment
Evidence of the ability to work effectively with diverse groups
Pay and Benefits Pay Range:
$7,600–$11,885 for a 4‑credit course, depending on education, qualifications, and experience.
Retirement plan options are available for Civil Service, Faculty, Labor‑Represented, Professional & Administrative, and Temporary Casual classifications. Learn more about retirement plans.
While our salary ranges provide a framework, the initial pay may not reach the maximum of the range. Compensation reflects the value and unique contributions of each candidate while maintaining equity within our organization.
