Base pay range
$21.00/hr - $24.50/hr Responsibilities
Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy per state and federal regulations. Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions. Provide a distinctive and delightful customer experience. Support pharmacy department duties including inventory, order, cash register usage, telephone calls, and clinical services where required. Report prescription errors to the pharmacist and adhere to company policies. Customer Experience
Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience. Model and share customer service best practices with all team members. Develop strong relationships with customers. Operations
Assist in the practice of pharmacy under pharmacist supervision. Perform duties such as entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying medication, and checking for interactions. Record and manage cash register sales. Handle telephone calls, process manual claims, and assist inventory management. Support clinical services and maintain relationships with the local medical community. Assist with maintenance of Pharmacy Department supplies and cleanliness. Complete special assignments as directed. Training & Personal Development
Earning and maintaining PTCB certification; attend required training. Complete required continuing education credits. Basic Qualifications
Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. (Except in Puerto Rico) Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends. Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in a retail pharmacy environment. Prior work experience with Walgreens. Strong math skills for accurate medication dispensing. Proficiency with computers. Knowledge of store inventory control. PTCB certification preferred. Equal Opportunity Statement
