About the Role Two positions available. Primary research coordinator of NCI sponsored and selected industry clinical trials at the Georgia Cancer Center Clinical Trials Office.
Responsibilities
Patient Accrual:
Assess potential subjects for eligibility, consent patients, review and document consent, schedule protocol-required visits and procedures, educate subjects and staff, oversee data collection and maintenance, manage diagnostic material submission, and report adverse events per protocol.
Primary Coordinator:
Manage all aspects of NCI sponsored protocols and industry studies, including subject recruitment & retention, scheduling, visits, source note and case report form documentation, specimen collection and shipping, and data entry; oversee pre‑, intra‑, and post‑audit activities; maintain regulatory binders; and report SAEs per sponsor and hospital guidelines.
Recruitment:
Assist in recruiting, training, and orienting new research nurses and staff; coordinate research team activities and data entry; work with PIs and sub‑Investigators to improve compliance; maintain databases, generate reports, and manage inventory and supplies; support study start‑up and workload balancing; perform all other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited institution and licensed as an RN in Georgia with at least four years of specialized clinical experience.
Associate’s degree in nursing from an accredited institution and licensed as an RN in Georgia with at least seven years of specialized clinical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Clinical oncology research experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Experience performing blood draws, preparing specimens, and familiarity with medical terminology.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to set priorities, remain flexible, and stay well organized.
Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift:
Days/M-F; may require work outside normal business hours for exempt level positions.
Pay Band:
B14
Salary Range:
$75,300–$96,000 annually (commensurate with qualifications).
Benefits:
Health, dental, and life insurance; Teachers Retirement System or optional retirement plan; paid vacation, sick leave, and 13 paid holidays; Tuition Assistance Program for employees with 6+ months tenure.
