Location: Morgantown, WV 26506 (West Virginia nursing jobs)
Healthcare Setting: Acute Care 7NE Medsurg/Ortho (22 beds)
Assignment Type: Travel RN Contract
Duration: 13 weeks (10/17/2025 1/16/2026)
Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00pm 7:30am); includes weekends and holidays as scheduled
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Estimated Weekly Salary: $1820$1950
Dress Code: Royal Blue Scrubs
Charting System: EPIC electronic health records
Registered Nurse Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (open to candidates willing to obtain WV license)
BLS certification required
Minimum 1 year of recent orthopedic nursing experience, including total joint replacement care
Strong Med Surg/Ortho clinical skills
COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered with documentation)
Valid, unexpired drivers license (must reside at least 50 miles from facility)
Orthopedic RN Responsibilities
Provide high-quality nursing care to orthopedic patients, including those with joint replacements and fractures
Manage patient ratios of 1:5-6, collaborating with a team of RNs and 3 CNAs per shift
Monitor and assess patient progress; deliver patient and family education and support
Work closely with charge nurses (available 24/7) and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Float to similar Med Surg/Ortho units (7E, 7W, 10W, 10E) as needed
Participate in scheduled weekend and holiday rotations
Document patient care using the EPIC charting system
