Job Summary and Responsibilities Virginia Mason is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (MAC) to support providers and the health care team in a clinic setting. Key duties include:

Back‑office and patient‑related tasks to ensure smooth workflow.

Front‑office activities and scheduling.

Patient care procedures within MAC scope: injections, EKGs, ear lavage, blood draws, vital sign measurements, rooming, and patient flow.

Assisting with pre‑visit preparation, patient visits, and post‑visit duties.

Reporting test results and communicating schedule changes to providers.

Job Requirements

High School diploma or GED.

Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant training program or validation of equivalent military training (e.g., Hospital Corpsman).

At least 6 months of customer experience.

Active Washington State Medical Assistant – Certified (MA‑C) licensure required (or interim MA‑C with probationary period).

Knowledge of insurance concepts preferred.

One year of Medical Assistant – Certified experience preferred.

Pay Range $27.25 – $38.49 per hour.
