Summary of Job Responsibilities The Project Superintendent is the company’s representative with responsibility and authority for daily coordination and direction of the project so that it is safe, within budget, on schedule, meets the company’s quality standards, and satisfies the customer. To accomplish this you must conceptualize a construction plan and ensure daily and weekly activities are consistent with the plan. The Project Superintendent works with the Project Manager as a complementary team, concentrating most of their time on daily and short‑range project direction.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities Preconstruction Phase
Assist with development of schedule, phasing, and logistics.
Assist with constructability review (if required).
Assist with development of bid packages and scopes of work.
Assist with bid, award and procurement of subs and suppliers.
Construction Phase
Lead, direct and coordinate day‑to‑day field activities of the project.
Manage subcontractors.
Control project cost.
Implement project schedule.
Implement quality control program and punch list.
Resolve field issues.
Produce daily reports and gather subcontractor daily reports.
Participate in OAC meetings.
Conduct regular foreman meetings and take minutes.
Maintain and file project documents; ensure correct documents are available in the field.
Ensure accurate as‑built drawings are maintained.
Enforce all safety policies and procedures.
Secure the jobsite.
Manage permit and inspection processes & code compliance.
Understand owner contract and responsibilities.
Understand subcontracts and PO’s executed for the project.
Train, mentor, and educate FEs and Assistant Superintendents working under them.
Analyze and mitigate project risk.
Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Business Development
Participate in RFQ/RFP responses as needed.
Participate in project interviews as needed.
Assist with finding and developing future job opportunities.
Other duties may be assigned.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
10‑Hour OSHA Construction Certification
CPR and First Aid Certification
Salary and Compensation Dependent on experience. Salary Min $100,000 – Salary Max $125,000 (annual). Bonus opportunities, employee stock ownership plan, weekly pay.
