Overview
The Controller provides leadership and coordination of company financial accuracy at the facility near Elgin, Illinois. Serves as the leader of the accounting team and ensures accurate and timely reporting of data, while maintaining proper internal controls. You will also have the ability to make strategic decisions on the operations of the company and regularly interface with the multi-billion-dollar parent company.
Responsibilities
Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.
Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Develop, implement, and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Ensure compliance with corporate policies, regulatory requirements, and audit standards.
Lead annual budgeting process and provide ongoing financial forecasts.
Partner with business unit leadership to analyze variances and recommend corrective actions.
Provide financial insights and analysis to support business decisions and growth initiatives.
Collaborate with senior management on cost optimization and profitability improvement strategies.
Manage external audit process and coordinate with auditors to ensure successful completion.
Oversee tax compliance and liaise with tax advisors for accurate filings.
Drive automation and efficiency in financial processes and reporting systems.
Evaluate and implement ERP enhancements or new technologies as needed.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
CPA or MBA would be highly advantageous
8 years of accounting & finance experience with a proven track record of success
Ability to communicate with employees globally clearly and precisely
Manufacturing industry experience is essential
