With extensive experience supporting complex, mission-critical training environments, Bagira provides long-term operational and technical support to military and defense customers worldwide.We are currently seeking a **Country Operations Manager – Germany** to lead, manage, and expand our operational activity across Germany. This senior role carries full responsibility for the establishment, delivery, and ongoing operation & maintenance management of Bagira’s training facilities at multiple sites, including both operational facilities and new sites under construction.The Country Operations Manager will act as Bagira’s senior operational representative in Germany, ensuring excellent service delivery, high system availability, customer satisfaction, and continuous operational improvement, while supporting the company’s long-term growth in the German defense market.Key Responsibilities* Serve as a senior operational leader, reporting directly to the Chief Programs Officer, and working closely with Bagira’s executive and program leadership teams.* Lead and manage local operational teams (initially **4–6 employees**), responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and availability of training facilities and systems across multiple sites.* Hold full accountability for meeting **service contracts, SLAs, and KPI commitments**, ensuring consistent performance and compliance with customer requirements.* Develop and maintain strong, long-term working relationships with the customer, gaining a deep understanding of training methods, training activities, and performance expectations from the delivered solutions.* Lead the **setup, deployment, and operational ramp-up** of new training facilities, including coordination with internal teams, subcontractors, and customer representatives.* Manage the **local operational budget**, including cost control, subcontractor supervision, vendor management, and financial reporting.* Recruit, onboard, and develop local employees to support current operations and future growth.* Support and contribute to **business development activities** in Germany, including customer engagement, operational input to proposals, and expansion of existing contracts.* Ensure compliance with all relevant **safety, security, quality, and regulatory requirements**, aligned with defense-sector standards, customer procedures, and applicable German regulations.#### Requirements* Proven experience in **operations management, service delivery, or project management**, preferably in defense, training & simulation, technical systems, or other complex operational environments.* Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams and field operations across multiple sites.* Strong customer-facing and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust and long-term partnerships.* Experience working with service contracts, KPIs, SLAs, and subcontractors.* Willingness to travel frequently within Germany and to other Bagira locations, depending on operational needs.* High-level proficiency in English is required; German language skills are a strong advantage.
