The Lead Manufacturing Recruiter will be responsible for all internal and external hiring movement for GE Vernova Schenectady Manufacturing. This role will have full‑cycle responsibility for all hourly hiring and work closely with the Plant HR Leader and Operations leaders on hiring needs and objectives.
Responsibilities
Full cycle for all hourly recruiting including sourcing requisitions, screening candidates, setting up interviews, offer generation, tracking and supporting candidates through onboarding.
Hourly upgrades, working closely with operations and union leaders to post and select internal hourly upgrades within the plant on a weekly basis.
Aligning with Plant HR leader on hiring timeframes and objectives.
Working closely with multiple stakeholders.
Leverage external recruiting resources.
Partner with on‑site health services and EHS for onboarding and new hire training.
Follow background, criminal and education checks, verifying any gaps with employees.
First‑day logistics for new hires, including escorting to training.
Additional duties as needed, including time and attendance tracking, reporting and full‑scope HR generalist duties.
This role is 100% in office.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 3 years onsite manufacturing recruiting experience or HR Generalist role.
Desired Characteristics
Union experience a plus.
Master’s degree a plus.
Manufacturing experience a plus.
HR generalist experience a plus.
To comply with US immigration and other legal requirements, it is necessary to specify the minimum number of years’ experience required for any role based within the USA. For roles outside the USA, focus on the substantive level of experience required and a minimum number of years should NOT be used.
Relocation assistance: No.
Pay range for this position is $79,500.00 to $132,400.00. The company pays a geographic differential based on location.
