Join our team at Autism & Behavioral Spectrum, a top workplace recognized by the St. Louis Post‑Dispatch. We provide specialized ReggioABA™ (Applied Behavior Analysis) therapy for young children ages 1‑6, focusing on developing communication, social, and adaptive living skills.
Overview & Core Details We’re seeking compassionate, reliable individuals who will provide 1:1 Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder in a clinic‑based setting. As a Behavior Technician, you will work directly with children, supporting them as they build critical life skills through our ReggioABA™ play‑based approach, and you’ll receive training and ongoing support from Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs). This physically and emotionally active role requires consistent presence, punctuality, and the ability to remain calm and professional when children exhibit behaviors such as screaming, biting, or hitting.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 ABA therapy to children ages 1–6 in a clinic‑based setting
Implement individualized behavior intervention plans written by a BCBA
Collect and track accurate data on each child’s progress
Support daily care tasks (feeding, diapering, dressing, grooming) as needed
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for children and staff
Collaborate with teammates and communicate professionally and respectfully with families
Encourage play, social engagement, and positive behavior through our ReggioABA™ approach
Participate in regular training, supervision, and feedback sessions to build your skills
Essential Qualifications
Basic Requirements & Legal Compliance
Age: Must be at least 18 years old.
Education: Must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Background Check: Must pass a background check and maintain a clear record throughout employment.
Conflict of Interest: Must not have immediate family members currently receiving therapy or services at our clinics.
Physical & Safety Capability
Must be able to lift or move children up to 45 pounds safely.
Must be able to support children with challenging behaviors that may include aggression, such as hitting or biting.
Professional Reliability & Commitment
Consistent attendance and punctuality are essential from the first day of training through all scheduled shifts.
Must have reliable transportation to ensure consistent attendance at the assigned clinic location.
Mindset & Interpersonal Skills
Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with supervisors, peers, and client families.
Flexibility and adaptability to schedule changes and shifting client needs.
Demonstrate a willingness to learn, apply feedback, and grow within the role.
Compensation
Entry‑Level Behavior Technician (BT): $18.00/hour (starting Day 1 of training)
Registered Behavior Technician (RBT): $20.00/hour (once certified, typically within 4–6 weeks)
Leadership Roles (growth opportunity): Up to $22.00/hour
Merit Raises: $0.50 every six months with continuous and satisfactory employment
RBT Certification required within first 60 days. We provide all training, and you’ll earn a raise when certified!

Pay Range 18 – 20 USD per hour (AB Spectrum St. Peters Clinic)
