Blazer Jobs is seeking a fully licensed School Social Worker for a short-term onsite position. This role will support middle school students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) through counseling, advocacy, and coordination of services to promote academic and social success.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide direct counseling and behavioral support services to students with IEPs
Conduct assessments to identify social, emotional, and environmental factors affecting student performance
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement intervention strategies
Participate in IEP meetings and maintain accurate, timely documentation
Assist in crisis intervention and connect families with community resources as needed
Qualifications:
Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) through LARA
Full Approval or Professional Certification as a School Social Worker through the Michigan Department of Education (MDE)
No Limited License Social Workers will be considered
Previous school-based experience preferred
Must be able to work onsite
