Qualifications

Education:

Associate of Science (AS)

Required Experience:

None required.

License & Certification:

Kentucky Radiation Operator’s License (at time of hire), Basic Life Support (via AHA within 90 days), Eligible for American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift, push or pull items up to 50 lbs, stand or walk with items up to 25 lbs, work in confined spaces, occasional computer use. Accept risk of injury from moving patients or equipment.

Responsibilities The Radiology Technologist will provide diagnostic imaging to assist physicians, perform or assist in procedures per departmental protocols, maintain a safe work environment, properly identify and mark images for interpretation, and order exams that match procedures performed. Patient service is essential; the incumbent will address patient needs across all age groups and maintain call‑back standards for general radiology. The position also includes QA review support for professional standards of student technologists.

Compensation & Sign‑On Bonus Base pay adjusted to $26.47/hour minimum, with higher rates based on experience. Sign‑on bonus: $15,000 for new graduates ( 1 year experience, contingent on a 24‑month employment commitment.

Skills & Abilities

Extensive customer service experience; calm communication in stressful situations.

Proficiency with CPR, PACS, RIS.

Desired: Knowledge of KY State Radiation Certification.
