What you'll Do as a Financial Analyst
Review, audit & code daily accounting transactions for entry into Ohio Administrative Knowledge System (OAKS).
Post transactions &/or payments.
Provides guidance to Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) sections & district staff on fiscal matters.
Conducts complex reconciliation of records, monitoring expenditure &/or threshold amounts.
Prepare daily deposits &/or enter deposits into OAKS.
Process Intra-State Transfer Vouchers (ISTV) for reimbursements.
Utilize Quickbooks Pro or similar software to perform various fiscal functions.

Qualifications Option 1
30 months experience or training in accounting & finance to include an intermediate level of experience in spreadsheet software.
Option 2
Completion of undergraduate core program in business administration, accounting, finance or related field.
6 months experience or training in accounting & finance to include an intermediate level of experience in spreadsheet software.
Option 3
12 months experience as Financial Associate, 66561.
Or equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above.
NOTE: Successful completion of the Fiscal Academy may be substituted for 4 months of required accounting/fiscal experience referenced in this portion of the minimum qualifications.
