Key Responsibilities

Manage and assist staff with processing financial transactions in OAKS, including but are not limited to ISTV attachments, correctives, and deletes

Voucher approvals, reversals, and corrective vouchers

Approving OhioBuys requisitions

Unpaid voucher and duplicate payment analysis

Controlling Board entries and cash transfers

Tier 2 ServiceNow case resolution

Management & Leadership Duties

Approve journals and ensure quality control and assurance

Oversee yearly purchase order encumbrance closure

Serve as OAKS Central Security Approver

Coordinate and set up the OBM Financial Forum

Collaborate with OBM Budget Analysts on Controlling Board and Director’s Requests

Manage Pay Cycle and General Revenue Fund reporting

Preferred Skills

Knowledge of Ohio Administrative Knowledge System financial transactions

Experience with OhioBuys and ServiceNow

Knowledge of supervisory principles and techniques

Experience in training and developing employees

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Familiarity with Controlling Board processes and state fiscal policies

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Ability to handle fiscal and budgetary variables, define problems, analyze data, prepare financial reports, and respond to confidential inquiries

Critical thinking skills

Strong verbal and written communication

Familiarity with OBM and state/federal policies and laws governing OAKS financial modules and related transactions

Skills in using calculators, electronic devices, and applicable software applications such as spreadsheets, databases, and word processing

Ability to establish a friendly atmosphere as a supervisor and listen and respond effectively to external and internal customer questions and concerns

Qualifications 54 months experience or 54 months training in financial administration. Or completion of undergraduate core program in public or business administration, accounting, finance, or related field; 30 months experience or 30 months training in financial administration. Or completion of graduate core program in public or business administration, accounting, finance, or related field; 18 months experience or 18 months training in financial administration. Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above. NOTE: Successful completion of the Fiscal Academy may be substituted for 4 months of required accounting/fiscal experience referenced in this portion of the minimum qualifications.
