Responsibilities
Review, audit & code daily accounting transactions for entry into Ohio Administrative Knowledge System (OAKS).
Post transactions &/or payments.
Provides guidance to Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) sections & district staff on fiscal matters.
Conducts complex reconciliation of records, monitoring expenditure &/or threshold amounts.
Prepare daily deposits &/or enter deposits into OAKS.
Process Intra-State Transfer Vouchers (ISTV) for reimbursements.
Utilize Quickbooks Pro or similar software to perform various fiscal functions.
Qualifications
Option 1: 30 months experience or 30 months training in accounting &/or finance to include an intermediate level of experience in
spreadsheet software .
Option 2: Completion of undergraduate core program in business administration, accounting, finance or related field; and 6 months experience/training in accounting &/or finance to include an intermediate level of experience in
spreadsheet software .
Option 3: 12 months experience as Financial Associate, 66561; or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
NOTE: Successful completion of the Fiscal Academy may be substituted for 4 months of required accounting/fiscal experience referenced in this portion of the minimum qualifications.
