School Social Worker

Blazer Jobs is actively hiring a dedicated School Social Worker to support students in a school district located in Detroit, MI.

Position Details:

Full-time, onsite role

School-based setting providing counseling, behavioral support, and social-emotional interventions

Collaboration with teachers, families, and administrators to support student success

Caseload information will be provided during the district interview

Requirements:

Active Michigan School Social Worker license/approval issued by the Michigan Department of Education (MDE)

Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) required

Current Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Limited Licensed Master Social Worker (LLMSW) credential through the Michigan Board of Social Work

Strong knowledge of IEP processes and student support services

Preferred: Previous experience in a school-based setting; strong communication and collaboration skills
