Travel RN Job Details
Location: Ithaca, NY 14850 – Experience a thriving college town with parks, waterfalls, and a welcoming healthcare community.
Assignment Length: 8‑week travel nursing contract (May 27 2024 – July 22 2024)
Healthcare Setting: Pain Management Unit (Main Hospital Campus & East Campus)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm (5 shifts per week, 5×8)
Hours: 40 hours per week, day shift
Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2330 – $2500
Employment Type: Travel RN contract
Pain Management RN Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State or compact state eligibility
At least 1 year of clinical nursing experience (pain management or physician practice experience preferred)
Strong communication, clinical assessment, and patient advocacy skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
RN Responsibilities in Pain Management
Deliver compassionate, evidence‑based nursing care to patients in the Pain Management Unit
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized pain management care plans
Monitor patient progress, document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in accordance with healthcare standards
Educate patients and families on pain management strategies, medication administration, and treatment plans
Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment following hospital and nursing policies and procedures
